Scope & Relevance

Scope & Relevance

We feel that our work ebooks can be used by any teacher or student around the world who is teaching or learning creative writing in English classrooms. Although our e-resources have been created by Australian teachers, the reference to traditional aspects of English teaching and learning such as language, literature and literacy are universal. Therefore the resources can easily connect with and enhance current teaching or be used by independent students of English and creative writing.

Qwiller Resources

Although the work ebooks and units of work are mainly used in schools, students can use a number of e-resource to enhance their English and creative writing skills in their own time, for example the online creative writing mentoring and online creative writing courses.

The Australian English Curriculum

Australia is currently implenting a national curriculum for its core subjects including English. Prior to this each state’s Department of Education was responsible for the curriculum and its implementation.

The Australian English Curriculum seeks to help students become ‘confident communicators’, ‘imaginative thinkers’ and ‘informed students’. There is a particular focus on learning to analyse, understand and communicate with others through the study of English so that young people develop knowledge and skills necessary for their future education, training and employment.
